As Underwriter Property each day, you'll be:
- Review insurance applications (new/renewal) for Property, Engineering, and Casualty within the authority limit.
- Gather supporting information and assess risks.
- Analyze data using internal and external statistics.
- Set coverage terms and conditions for negotiation with clients/intermediaries.
- Ensure accurate and proper issuance of insurance policies and renewal notices are issued on time.
- Understand the process so underwriting decisions do not harm the company and align with the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
- Make or approve decisions related to underwriting processes and administration within their authority limits.
- Sign insurance documents in accordance with applicable regulations.
Qualifications:
- Holds a Degree in related field
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in underwriting property, engineering, and casualty business
- Having AAAIK or AAIK title and/or certifications would be an advantage
- Experienced in operating the care system.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite as well as familiarity with document scanning software or applications.
- Ensure accuracy in viewing, checking, reading, comparing, and analyzing data, as well as in assessing the suitability and necessity of data for the underwriting process.
- Strong perseverance and stamina to effectively manage dynamic workloads and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective time management skills to manage workload and meet deadlines.
